The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been urged to incorporate money and risk management skills as part of its empowerment scheme for serving corps members.
The convener, Forex Millionaire Expo, Benson Jeffrey, gave the advice while fielding questions from newsmen in Lagos, saying that forex trading offers financial empowerment for young school leavers and graduates once they understand it.
“I think the government should incorporate Forex as part of the NYSC project, and learn money and risk management. This is the skill that everyone should learn,” he said
He noted that the state of the country’s economy has caused prices of commodities to skyrocket owing to the decrease in the value of the naira to the dollar. He said trading in foreign currency would help the people live above the dwindling country’s economy.

“In order for you to be able to overcome Nigeria’s economy when things are skyrocketing you need to earn a country’s currency that is higher than your currency and that is USD.
Also, one of the speakers, the CEO, Kojo Forex Academy, Bright Kojo, said the financial market revolves around human daily activities, hence the need for financial literacy.
“Everywhere you find yourself, the financial market revolves around you; for you to live above Nigeria’s current circumstances, you need to be earning in dollars which means that if you are not trading, trading is affecting what is affecting you, the exchange rate.”
