The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, says the National Youth Service Corps Trust Fund Bill is awaiting President Muhammadu Buhari’s assent.
He said this in Abuja Tuesday during the opening ceremony of the 2023 NYSC Annual Management Conference.
Dare said the bill would receive a positive response that would see an injection of N14bn into the NYSC,
Director-General, NYSC, Brigadier-General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, said the conference would serve as a veritable avenue for appraisal of the Corps’ journey in the last five decades and enable participants to set new agenda for a post-golden jubilee scheme that would have a greater impact on national development.

He decried that the NYSC was battling with problems such as dilapidated facilities at orientation camps, lack of befitting office accommodation in some states, among others.
