Mr Aremu who stated this while declaring the programme open in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state, said HIRD was a flagship programme of NYSC aimed at providing free medical services to indigent members of the society, especially the rural population.

He said the team made up of six corps medical doctors, four pharmacists, six nurses, three physiotherapists, four laboratory scientists, among other paramedics, was expected to attend to no fewer than 700 patients, explaining that the services to be rendered included consultancy, vital checks, advice, diagnostics, free drugs and referrals.
