The reports of the shutdown of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps nationwide has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
The shutdown directive came from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja Wednesday morning following the spread of the coronavirus which has killed about 7000 people globally.
The orientation camp for the 2020 Batch A, Stream 1 corps members was to last from March 10th to March 30.
This development is coming after three cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Nigeria as at Tuesday.

Two out of the three cases of coronavirus that have been reported in this country were imported. If we shut down everything in Nigeria and still live our borders open have we done anything? This is just like adding (-1+1) to 1.

I honestly believe all nysc Corps Members should be left in camp, at this moment it is quite safer for them. Movement in and out the camp can be controlled.
Now risk of contacting the virus is high because of everyone will intend to travel.#nysc #COVID19
