Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Walida Siddique Isa has said five corps members have tested positive for COVID-19.
The patients were among the corps members who resumed at the FCT orientation camp Kubwa for the 2020 Batch B stream 1A orientation exercise.

Speaking on Monday in Abuja at the swearing in ceremony of the corps members, the coordinator said it was a policy for corps members to be screened before they were allowed to register for their orientation programme.
She said immediately the cases were detected, the patients were disallowed to go ahead with their registration, and immediately handed over to the authorities of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) for further attention and treatment.
On the attack by hoodlums on the orientation camp, Isa said the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) under the leadership of the Minister of State for the FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has assisted in repairing and replacing the equipment on the camp.
Declaring the 2020 Batch B, Stream 1a orientation course open, Minister of State for the FCT, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu who was represented by the acting chairman, FCT NYSC governing board, Dr. Kevin Ogbonna Ikeh said that the role of the scheme is the promotion of National Unity and Integration as well as the development strides in the education, health, agriculture amongst other sectors of the economy has continued to endear the scheme to all and sundry.
She called on all Nigerians to support the scheme to enable it sustain its laudable programs for the benefits of the country.
