Nyikyaa is now secretary Salaries, Income and Wages Commission

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Engr David Isho Nyikyaa as the Secretary to the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, the agency charged with the responsibility of negotiating and fixing salaries of public sector workers among others.

The appointment takes effect from 1st November, 2018.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in the letter of appointment congratulated Engr Nyikyaa and challenged him to use his position diligently.

Engr Nyikyaa, a seasoned administrator has been holding the position in acting capacity since June 2018.

He joined the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission in 2008 as a Deputy Director (Management Information Department). He was appointed Director of the Department with effect from 1st January, 2013, the position he held until June 2018 when he took over as Acting Secretary.

Nyikyaa holds a B.Engineering in Electronics from the  University of Nigeria, Nsukka as well as an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
