A nutritionist in Nasarawa State, Dr Thomas Affi, has advocated for the consumption of local food considering its importance to human body.
Affi made the call on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia.

He said that the consumption of local food such as locust beans would help to promote good sight and prevent diabetes.

The medical doctor also said that the consumption of locust beans had enormous benefits to human health.
He said that locust beans could help in the treatment of diarrhea, stroke and other diseases. (NAN)
