The national president of the National Union of Road transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, has advised drivers and other road users to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement to security agencies.

He also appealed to drivers to adhere to traffic regulations ahead of the Christmas season.

Baruwa, who spoke on Friday in Abuja during his second anniversary in office and celebration of his birthday, said all Nigerians must support law enforcement agencies with information in order to reduce crimes and road accidents.

He urged the government to invest more in critical infrastructure development to attract investors and make the roads safe.

Baruwa, who said the transport sector was mostly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, appealed to drivers to be patient and law-abiding at all times.
