The newly appointed chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club, Alhaji Kabiru Baita has reassured that the reigning Nigerian champions will be back to winning ways soon.
Baita told SHOT! in a telephone interview that though the task is challenging he is optimistic that his board will be able to redefine the path of the club.
“I know the expectations from the fans and the government that appointed us is high and we have this in mind. We shall do everything possible to see the club back to its rightful place.
“We are going through the handover notes and we are ready to make amends in all the areas necessary for the club to regain its lost points. I just want the fans to exercise patience,” Baita said.
The chairman who is on his second mission in the club said that after due consultation the management will engage a top coach to replace sacked Okey Emordi.
Baita also said the kind of coach his board will employ is one who is in tune with happenings in the Nigeria Premier League as he said only the best can serve the interest of the club now.
