Gunmen kill 11-year-old girl, 3 others in Zamfara village

Gunmen killed four persons including an 11-year-old girl in Tangaran village in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Daily Trust gathered.
The bandits who were carrying AK 47 rifles, according to witnesses, arrived on motorcycles and opened fire on residents who were sitting in front of their house.
 A resident, Yusuf Abdullahi, said residents scampered for safety when they heard gunshots, just as those who were inside their homes remained indoors.
He said those who were injured in the incident are currently responding to treatments in a hospital in Anka town.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sanusi Amiru, confirmed the incident, but added that normalcy has returned to the area.
He said a team of security personnel has been dispatched to the village, adding that three empty casings of bullets were recovered from the scene.
