IPAC warns against violence

The national leadership of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged all political parties and their supporters to eschew violence before, during and after the Bayelsa governorship election.
Briefing newsmen in Yenagoa, the Secretary General of the group, Chief Sam Eke noted that democracy remained the best form of government, hence all stakeholders, must shun acts capable of derailing the process through electoral fraud and violence.
Eke, who is leading other national officers to monitor the election tomorrow, said they were in the state to educate members of the public, political parties and stakeholders on the need to avoid any act inimical to democracy.
