Bauchi gov denies planning to return to PDP

Bauchi State governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has debunked reports of his alleged plan to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Yakubu Ibn Mohammed, said the report by an online medium was an attempt to disparage and undermine the governor by his detractors.
Few days ago, the governor was alleged to have held a meeting with some PDP bigwigs in the state, including the former governors Isah Yuguda and Adamu Mu’azu to discuss his return to the party.
The statement noted that despite the achievements recorded by the governor in the last six months, some individuals and organisations had chosen to resort to deceit and falsehood to discredit the governor in person and the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration in the state.
