Armed men suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents attacked Gamgara, a farming community in Abadan area of Borno State, killed six men and injured several others in an attack around 8.30pm on Tuesday, survivals have said.
Mammadu Muktar and Modu Bulama who said they were on their way to Maiduguri after escaping from Gamgara, said the attackers arrived the village and conducted a house to house search.
Muktar said, “They took away all our food items and livestock in the vehicles they came with. They did not abduct anybody and did not rape any woman. But they took six male adults to the village square and used the machine for cutting tress to slaughter them. They opened fire on people running away and many were injured.”
