The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) is to host the ninth annual Town Hall Meeting on Security and the first under the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on December 15.
Last week, the state government donated security equipment, patrol vehicles, surveillance helicopters, gunboats and Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) that cost N4.738 billion and reiterated its commitment to ensuring a secure Lagos for businesses to thrive.
The Executive Secretary of the LSSTF, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, who disclosed that the meeting was scheduled for December 15, said it would give Governor Ambode the opportunity to render the account of the trust fund, present the audit report and solicit for more donations to the fund.
Balogun said the meeting would also provide an avenue for the governor to share ideas on security and get feedback from decision makers and other stakeholders, while the commissioner of police would present the security report of the state to the public.
“Also, other activities such as the recognition of outstanding security operatives and other stakeholders would be done at the Town Hall meeting,” he said.
