The management and staff of Stella Maris Schools Abuja on Thursday celebrated the school’s 10th graduation ceremony where it graduated 147 students.
Speaking in Abuja during the graduation ceremony, principal of the school Chukwuemeka Anyaene described the 10th year graduation as a take-off point for the school to re-launch itself across various fields of activities and needs.
He said the management was committed to continuously strive to make the school a destination for more international students who wished to combine the Nigerian education and British, American style.
“Today the school has grown in terms of population, facilities and environment. The school has become a model to other schools in the Federal Capital Territory,” he said.
According to him, the late founder, Mrs. Uche Anyaene, headed 17 schools in the FCT and deplored the experiences in establishing it hence “the school has been a major contributor of undergraduates to universities in Nigeria and overseas.”
Chiamaka Isigwe emerged best overall student and also doubled as the best student in Art. Osubor Dorothy is the best student in Social Science while Princess Chigozie Chioke emerged the best Science student.
On behalf of the graduating students, Musa Frederick, who gave a valedictory speech, commended the teachers for the discipline and training instilled in them.
