The Lagos State government yesterday urged members of the public to beware and disregard information on the internet about the purported availability of admission forms to the state’s School of Nursing at Igando in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Modele Osunkiyesi, stated this in a disclaimer notice she personally signed.
The notice stated that the attention of the ministry has been drawn to activities of some unscrupulous people who placed the fake advertisements for admission on the internet, asking suspecting individuals to make the payment for the admission forms into their personal accounts.
She urged members of the public to disregard any information on the internet about the purported admission forms, adding that all enquiries regarding admission into the state School of Nursing should be channelled to the coordinator, Lagos State School of Nursing Complex, Alimosho General Hospital, Igando.
“Further clarifications can be obtained from the Ministry of Health at Alausa Secretariat, while members of the public are advised to be vigilant as anyone who deals with the fraudsters does so at his or her own risk,” she said.
