The National Television Authority has announced that it will broadcast all African Cup of Nations 2023 matches after securing the exclusive broadcasting rights to the highly anticipated competition.
The announcement was made in a short statement put out on its X handle on Wednesday.
This is coming after Multichoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, failed to win the rights for the highly desired football extravaganza like in previous years.
“NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro Ssportts for transmission of 52 matches of Africs Cup of Nations in Cot D’ivoire,” the statement said.
This major deal ensures that every moment of the continental football spectacle will be shown on NTA.
The Africa Cup of Nations, often known as the TotalEnergies AFCON or just AFCON, is widely recognized as Africa’s premier international men’s association football competition.
The 34th AFCON is scheduled to begin on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and close on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in the dynamic football nation of Cote d’Ivoire.
