A total of Seven hundred and thirty (730) Long Vacation Time (LVT) students were matriculated into the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) Institute of Education.

At the ceremony, which held at the University’s Convocation Square on Friday, the Vice Chancellor of NSUK, Professor Mohammad Mainoma, charged the students to be law abiding and contribute meaningfully to the development of the university.

Professor Mainoma warned the students not to participate in acts that may be injurious to the university or engage in any anti-social activities, but to take their studies seriously.

He reminded the matriculating students that the LVT programme, which is in its tenth year, was established to build the capacity of teachers.

He said: “this programme started in 2005, except that you are the first set to be admitted under the Institute of Education which was created last year, to harness the potentials of those in the teaching profession”.

Ofim, a 400-Level Mass Communication student, wrote from NSUK
