President Bola Tinubu has been urged to reconsider the redeployment of his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Humanitarian Affairs, Ms Delu Yabuku, as the National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
A group under the auspices of the Young Women in Nigerian Politics (YWNP), a collective voice for women empowerment and social development, made the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen.
The appeal was coming on the heels of the suspension and arrest of the National Coordinator of the agency, Halima Shehu, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering of over N30bn.
In the statement signed by the group’s President and Convener, Rejoice Salome Ishaku, they recalled that Ms Yakubu was the first candidate nominated by Mr President to lead the agency before she was later picked as SSA.
