Nse, Omotola, Genevieve, Uche for Best of Nollywood Awards

Awards are grouped into 28 categories with Nse Ekpe-Etim, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Omoni Oboli and Uche Jombo contending for the best actress category for the movies ‘Mr. & Mrs’, ‘Private Storm’, ‘Mirror Boy’, ‘Anchor Baby’ and ‘Damage’ respectively.

In the Best Supporting Actress (English) category are Susan Peters – ‘Bursting Out’, Ufuoma Ejenobor – ‘Private Storm’, Chika Ike – ‘Criminal Mind’ and Queen Nwokoye – ‘Cry of a Widow’. In the Best Actor of the Year category are Ramsey Noah – ‘Private Storm’, Trybson – ‘Ghetto Dreams’, Kenneth Okonkwo – ‘Soul to Soul’, Joe Benjamin – ‘Mr. & Mrs’. and O. C. Okeje – ‘2 Brides and A Baby’.

Kalu Ikeagwu – ‘2 Brides and A Baby’, Gabriel Afolayan – ‘Ghetto Dreams’, John  Ommelo – ‘Private Storm’, Paul Apel – ‘Mr. & Mrs’. and Segun Arinze – ‘Save our Soul’ are up for Best Supporting Actor of the Year.

Nominees for Best Actress (Yoruba) are Fathia Balogun – ‘Ajaa Meji’, Eniola Badmus – ‘Eefa’, Laide Bakare – ‘Demilade’, Toyin Aimaku – ‘Ikudoro’, and Sola Kosoko – ‘Sindara’, while Gabriel Afolayan – Richie Richie, Sunkanmi Omobolanle – ‘Eti Keta’, Ibrahim Chatta  – ‘Kuta Nle’, Taiwo Ibikunle – ‘Demilade’ and Damola Olatunji – ‘Ore Meji’ are nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Yoruba).

Best Actor (Yoruba) contenders are Saidi Balogun – ‘Eti Keta’, Enila Olaniyan – ‘Kuta Nle’, Muyiwa Ademola – ‘Iyo Aye’, Odunade Adekola – ‘Jelili’ and Femi Adebayo – ‘21 Years’.

For Best Supporting Actress (Yoruba) are Funke Adesiyan – ‘Eti Kefa’, Mosun Filani – ‘Iyo Aye’, Ronke Odusanya – ‘Fari Kola’, Regina Chukwu – ‘Ere Ori Igi’ and Macdonald Robinson – ‘Richie Richie’.

Male Revelation of the Year include Okey Uzoechi – ‘2 Brides & A Baby’, Deji Akinosho – ‘Ikudoro’, Paul Apel – ‘90 Ninth day’. Revelation of the Year Female Ketra Hewatech – ‘2 Brides &  A Baby’, Bidemi Kosoko – ‘Ikudoro’, Funmi Odufuwa – ‘Richie Richie’, Funmi Oguntade – ‘Eje Ati Wura’ and Seyi Ashekun – Farikola’.

Contestants for Movie of the Year are ‘Eefa’, ‘Mirror Boy’, ‘2 Brides & A Baby’, ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ and ‘Private Storm’ as ’Jelili’, ‘Osas’, ‘Okon Lagos’, ‘Baba No Regret’ all contending for Comedy Movie of the Year

Comedian Tee-A and Nollywood actress Ini Edo will be comperes at the event slated for Friday, November 11, 2011 at a yet to be announced venue.
