NSE applauds construction firm on services

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has presented a meritorious service award for commitment to engineering practice to Eighteenth Engineering Company International Limited, a construction firm, for its giant strides in roads construction and other projects.

President of the NSE, Engr. Babagana Mohammed presented the award to the firm’s Project Manager in Gombe state, Mr Dong Jian when he paid a two-day working visit to the state.

He described the services of the company in the state, including roads and bridges, as a huge success in terms of their quality and timely completion.

Engr. Mohammed also commended the state government for its efforts in providing infrastructure and other social amenities, and urged it to strengthen and fund the state road maintenance agency for better service delivery.

Responding, Jian, commended the state government for their support to the company, especially making payment on time for all the projects being executed and certified for payment.

Mr Jian said the company have recently concluded and opened to traffic an 18.5 kilometre new bypass road that linked Gona, Garko, Gujuba and Kalshingi villages of the state.
