NSCDC will remain corruption free, says commandant

Commandant  of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto, Babangida Dutsin-Ma has urged Nigerians to always see Civil Defence officers as friends in progress to  facilitate their duties.

"The organ as one of the most respected paramilitary agencies free from corruption in Nigeria, will always maintain its status in all sectors of development,” he said

Dutsin-ma stated this when  the Association of Northern Nigerian Students (ANNS) awarded him the 2017 Peace Ambassador in Sokoto.

"We are trained to secure and safeguard all the  citizens of Nigeria, as well as their properties. As such, we will continue to ensure that all our public and private properties are fully protected," he asserted.

The Commandant stated  determination of the corps towards protecting all critical infrastructure in the country.

He expressed gratitude to  ANNS for finding him worthy of the award.

The Award presentation was made by the association’s Vice-president, Abubakar Bature, of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, at the Commandant’s office.

Earlier, Secretary of the association, Tasmin Badan of Federal University Dutsin-Ma, said  the ANNS was poided towards fostering unity among students and promote the standard of education, especially in the northern parts of the country.
