The new state Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano, Adamu Idris Zakari, has assured of the command’s commitment to combat the menace of gender-based violence cases in the state.
Zakari made the statement while flagging off a one-day workshop on gender-based violence organised by the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) for operatives of the command at its headquarters.

“This training will surely impact positively in the sense that gender issue is a source of concern to the corps and that’s why the latest project of the corps is based on gender issues,” he said.
