Parading the suspects, the State Commandant,  Mr John Olatunde Fayemi, commended the efforts and tactics put in place by the Counter Terrorism Unit to trace the syndicate from Ado Ekiti to where they were arrested.

Fayemi, who condemned the level of dealings in illicit drugs in the state, disclosed that the supply of illicit substances into the state capital flows from the local governments.

He said all the suspects, except Faleye Odunayo, were arrested in the forest between Awo Ekiti in Ido Osi LGA and Igede Ekiti where they were processing illicit drugs and supply  to the state capital with the assistance of some dispatch riders.

Items recovered from the suspects include three Bajaj motor bikes, substances suspected to be Cannabis sativa, Tramadol, raps of drugs, phones of various brands and charms.
