NSCDC parades 10 rape suspects in Oyo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Oyo State has paraded 10 suspects over alleged rape, abortion and financial fraud.

Four of the suspects, Qayum Babatunde, Azim Gbadamosi, Mutiu Olaniyi and Moshood Oyindamola, were arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl which resulted in a pregnancy and a subsequent illegal abortion.

Another suspect, Aminu Victor, was arrested over allegedly raping his boss’ nine-year-old daughter.

The command said that its tracking unit also arrested several other suspects, including Bakare Jide Damilare, who allegedly defrauded a victim of N17m; and Alabi Victor, who used his father’s account to defraud another individual.

He added that three of the suspects, Abiodun Oluwafemi, Akinloye Sakirat Folasade and Victoria Akanbi, were arrested for allegedly defrauding a store owner of N738,670.
