NSCDC nabs farmer for alleged murder of cattle rearer in Ogbomoso

The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Sunday paraded a farmer, Abraham Alamu, in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, for the alleged murder of a cattle rearer, Shuaib Adamu, at Oko Oba, Elega, Orire local government.

The NSCDC, in a statement its Public Relations Officer, Mr Oluwole Olusegun, issued on Sunday said Alamu fled Ogbomoso after the alleged murder on August 21, 2020 but was later apprehended by its Agro Rangers Squad (Ogbomoso Zone) last Friday in Ogbomoso.

The Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Iskilu Akinsanya, told journalists in Ibadan that the suspect killed Adamu,  a resident of Elega Village, Ikoyi, Ogbomoso, for grazing his cattle on his farm.

Akinsanya said the suspect would be handed over to the Oyo State Police Command for further investigation.
