The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Akwa Ibom State command has arrested three suspects with over 3,000 litres of adulterated Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) concealed in a truck laden with sand.
The state commandant of NSCDC, Mr Samuel Fadeyi, said Friday while briefing newsmen in Uyo that the suspects were arrested on March 2, 2020 at a border town between Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.

He explained that the suspects claimed they were coming from Ahoada, Rivers State, adding that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation was completed.
He stated that since criminals were now devising more innovative ideas in crime, there was need for security personnel, especially those manning border posts to be extra vigilant in order to tackle crime and criminality in the state and country.
