The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Edo has deployed 1,200 personnel for the Eid el-Fitri.

The state’s Commandant, Gbenga Agun, who disclosed this, said the personnel would be deployed to places of worship, motor parks, recreation centres and other public places to prevent any form of threat to lives and property.

He noted that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure a hitch-free celebration, and charged residents to assist security agencies by giving timely and credible information to nip crime in the bud.
