The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday decorated 448 newly promoted personnel in its command in Benue State.
State Commandant of NSCDC, Bitrus Alice Larai, urged the newly promoted officers to embrace their new ranks with a sense of increased responsibility during the promotion decoration and send-forth ceremony held at the command’s headquarters in Makurdi.
Larai reminded the promoted officers that elevation in the public service called for higher responsibilities, charging them to redouble their determination to exhibit professionalism in service delivery.
On his part, the Benue State governor who was represented by Air Commodore Jacob Gbamwuan (retd.), the Director-General of Bureau of Homeland Security, stressed the need for continued collaboration with the state government for peaceful coexistence of all citizens in the state.

The governor attributed the current relative peace enjoyed in the state to synergy between all security agencies in Benue.
