NSCDC arrests suspected fleeing bandit in Kano

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a suspected bandit, Umar Ibrahim, alias Danlami Tela in Kano.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ibrahim was linked to a notorious bandit kingpin responsible for kidnapping and banditry in Funtua, Katsina State and surrounding areas.

Upon his arrest, the suspect was found with an Android phone containing three SIM cards and an ATM card.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, said in a statement that the 45-year-old suspect, from Dikke, Funtua LGA of Katsina State, was apprehended at Hotoro Yandodo in Nassarawa LG of Kano State.

He said the corps had transferred the suspect to the Nigerian Air Force Forward Operating Base 215 in Funtua, where he was already being trailed.
