The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, has arrested three men – Oyejola Ismail, Awoyinka Ridwan and Aderemi Jelili – over stealing.
The public relations officer of NSCDC in the state, Daniel Adigun, told Daily Trust that the suspects burgled the shop of one Hamzat Tajudeen and stole some valuable items.
He said one of the suspects, Awoyinka, is 15 years old while the two others – Oyejola and Aderemi – are 20 and 44 respectively.
Adigun said the suspects have given confessional statements of their involvement in the crime.
The NSCDC spokesman said: “Oyejola and Awoyinka confessed that they burgled the shop, stole some items and sold them to Aderemi who is into purchase of scrap metal.
“Aderemi also confessed that he bought condemned socket and chain from the duo.”
He said investigation is on to ascertain the extent of involvement of each of them. He said the suspects would be charged to court for conspiracy, stealing and trespass.
