NSCDC arrests copper wire, motorcycle thieves in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has arrested five suspects involved in copper wire and motorcycle theft in Kano.

During midnight patrols along IBB Way in Kano, the Anti-Vandalism unit of the NSCDC, Kano command, arrested two suspected vandals —Adnan Umar, aged 26, and Musa Shuayb, aged 24. The suspects were caught in the act of vandalising streetlight armoured cable on IBB Way by Fagge/Kofar Wambai new market. They were apprehended while attempting to steal three rolls of copper wire.

According to Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the command, the operatives of the Corps on night patrol intervened and captured the suspects.

In a separate incident, three suspected motorcycle thieves, including a receiver, were also apprehended. The suspects are Saminu Magaji aka Pina, 19; Haruna Idris, 22 and Ahmed Abubakar, 38. The Corps is currently pursuing two additional suspects who are at large.

The arrested suspects, all hailing from Gwammaja, Dala LGA of Kano State, are known for their involvement in breaking into homes, stealing motorbikes, and personal belongings of individuals.
