State commandant of the corps, Dr. Gidado Fari, said more than 16,000 litres of fuel were recovered from the suspects in various areas within Dutse and environs by the NSCDC.
Fari said the measure is based on public outcry on the practice which often causes fire outbreak and artificial scarcity of fuel in the state.
The commandant called on all perpetrators to desist from the act, saying his men will soon embark on “anti black market operations” in the 27 local government areas of the state.
