NSCDC arrests 4 suspects in Ekiti

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ekiti State Command, has paraded four suspects for stealing car batteries and other crimes.

NSCDC State Commandant, Mr John Fayemi, said the Counter Terrorism Unit worked on intelligence received along Atikakan and Irona axis of the Ado Ekiti in which one Tobi Sunday, 22, residing at Akin Akeju Street was arrested while attempting to steal a car battery around 4am.

 He said items recovered from him included four different ATM cards believed to have been stolen from cars forcefully opened by these suspects in an attempt to steal their batteries.

 Olaiya Pelumi, 20, a native of Ilasa –Ekiti, who resides in Ado Ekiti, was also arrested along the Ikere /Ado by the Counter Terrorism Unit on the issues bordered on fraud and conspiracy.

 Tobi, who was a fuel attendant in Aisegba Ekiti, disappeared with over N2.4 million belonging to his employer in Aisegba Ekiti and ran away without any trace.

 The command also paraded one Junior Michael, 24, from Ebonyi State. The suspect was arrested along Ereguru Street in Ado Ekiti with substances suspected to be cannabis sativa, ice, cocaine, Colorado and other illicit drugs.

 One Ayodeji Ogundipe, 37, was also apprehended along Dallimore Street in Ado Ekiti on allegation of an attempted murder of Adeosun Olamide, who resides along Rose Bud Area in Ado Ekiti.

 Ayodeji was arrested with a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa in his house while he was trying to escape arrest after sighting the operatives of the Counter Terrorism Unit.
