Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State have arrested 11 suspects for committing various crimes.
The command’s spokesman, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, said five of the suspects were arrested in connection with the theft of armoured cables and for phone snatching.

He listed the five suspects as Jibril Shamsu (21), Saidu Musa (18), Saifullahi Musa (18), Tasiu Salisu (16) and Abdurrahman Dahiru.
He further said that six other suspects were arrested in Gezawa and Garun Malam for stealing streetlights.
He added that the corps also confiscated 13 bags of a harmful herbal mixture, popularly known as Akuskura, which was recently banned by the state government.
