Consequently, the leadership of NAPHER-SD commended the President on the bold decision to bring back the NSC and the choice of astute sports administrator, Dikko as Chairman.

Adeyanju, therefore, called for a return to the glorious past, when technocrats and former athletes with the requisite training and experience were given the responsibility of implementing programmes of the Sports Commission.

She opined that the active participation of such sound sports technocrats in the implementation of policies will go a long way in addressing some of the problems militating against sports development in Nigeria.

The NAPHER-SD president also restated the readiness of the association to actively collaborate with the NSC, Nigeria Olympics Committee (NOC), Sports Federations, as well as state governments, in providing the expertise that will enhance and fast track the achievement of the set goals and objectives of the new NSC.
