A Kano-based politician and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki commander, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of failing his (Buhari) loyalists especially those who fought for the party’s success in 2015 and 2019.
Speaking to Daily Trust in Kano, Dan Bilki said it was sad to note that those who had heavily benefitted from Buhari’s administration were those that had fought Buhari’s political bids before his final success.

He said the present allegations against the suspended Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman, was nothing but a plan to oust out another loyalist that had been in the support of Buhari, a move he said he will protest to the last step.
Daily Trust reports that Ms. Usman was suspended on May 6 and an administrative panel of inquiry had since been set up to probe her with a focus on N165.32 billion alleged to be unremitted to the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) by the NPA management under her leadership.
But Dan Bilki insisted that “Hadiza Bala has been a strong northern force in this administration, she has been one of the only few APC members that have been pacifying loyalists in one way or the other.
“Rotimi Amaechi’s allegations against her are nothing but a selfish plot to oust her out for his personal and selfish gains. Therefore, as bonafide APC members, we condemn that move and call on President Buhari to reconsider his stand on the matter,” he said.
He further stressed that it was unfortunate that people with a questionable personality who had been allowed to hold strategic offices in Buhari’s administration were busy claiming the ‘Holier than thou’ role.
While assuring loyalists to continue to be patient, Dan Bilki called for the reinstatement of Ms. Usman and cautioned President Buhari against people, he termed as “Wolf in sheepskin”.
Daily Trust further reports that some of the president’s loyalists have maintained that he (Buhari) has always promised not to interfere in any probe involving his aides or party members and will allow the law to take its course.
