NPA cracks down on illegal container stripping sites

The Managing Director (MD) of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr Mohammed Bello-Koko, has ordered the removal of illegal container stripping sites impeding traffic on roads in and out of Tin-Can and Apapa ports in Lagos.

Bello-Koko who frowned at the indiscriminate manner truck drivers had converted road setbacks into illegal stripping of containers, at the weekend, said the authority would deal decisively with perpetrators of the unwholesome practice.

Specifically, he warned that truckers caught in the act stood the risk of being delisted from the Electronic Call-up System (ETO) platform managed by the Truck Transit Park (TTP) Limited.
