NOUN gets new registrar, bursar

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has appointed Felix Edoka, Ernest Odeigah and Dr. Gambo Saleh Adam as Registrar, Bursar and Librarian respectively.
The Director, Media and Publicity of the university, Ibrahim Sheme, said in a statement the appointments were for five years.
Mr. Edoka, the new Registrar, was a member of the American Society of Public Administrators (ASPA), Association of University Administrators (AUA), Certified Board of Administrators of Nigeria (CBAN), and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Edoka, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Akoko, Ondo State; and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the University of Jos, Plateau State. Until his new appointment, he was the Deputy Registrar (Human Resources) of the university. His appointment takes effect from September 4, 2016.
Mr. Odeigah, the new Bursar, is a fellow, Certified National Accountants (CNA) and member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CITN), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE). He holds an MSc in Finance and an MBA from University of Lagos and University of Calabar respectively, as well as a BSc from European American University, United Kingdom. Odeigah, until this appointment, was the acting Bursar of the university. His appointment takes effect from September 17, 2016.
Dr. Adam, the new Librarian, was a member of the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Library and Information Science (LIS)-Career Option, and National Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE). He holds a PhD, MLS, and BLS from International Islamic University, Malaysia; Bayero University, Kano; and University of Maiduguri respectively. Until his appointment as librarian, Adam was the institute librarian at the National Institute for Legislative Studies, Abuja, on secondment from University of Maiduguri. His appointment takes effect from October 2, 2016.
