The House of Representatives yesterday clarified that it has used grading level in the formation and composition of the 96 standing house committees released by the speaker recently.
The House however said there was nothing like “juicy” committees allocated to whatever party but grades such as “A” “B” and “C” were used in the process to ease administrative works.
Deputy Spokesperson of the House, Rep Gaza Jonathan (PDP, Nasarawa) told journalists in the National Assembly that the friction generated by the release of the committees was natural and were expected by the leadership.
Rep Jonathan also said against the House leader’s claim of being sidelined in the process of forming the committees, consultation of all parties were carried out and that the House has remained one despite the heat generated by the committees.
