Northern youths float group for Tinubu’s presidential bid

A group of youths from various parts of northern Nigeria has floated a pressure group, known as the 100 per cent Focus Movement, to sensitise the people of the region on the need to elect the candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as the next president of Nigeria.

The group’s national chairman, Ibrahim Mohammad, at a media parley in Abuja on Thursday, said the role played by Tinubu in and outside government qualifies him to lead the country as president.

He said if the APC had made a mistake with the current administration, it should bring in someone who understood the problems and could effectively fix them.

“The country needs someone who understands the problems of Nigeria and knows exactly what to do to fix them.

“We are hereby urging our people in the North to give the APC another chance to right the wrongs. There is the need to shun ethnic politics so that the military will not intervene.

“Nigeria is not only for us. It is meant for all. We need to support other parts of the country to rule,” he said.
