Northern women protest Borno farmers’ killings

A cross section of women from the 19 northern states on Monday in Abuja protested against the Saturday’s killings of rice farmers by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.

The women, under the auspices of Northern Women Peace Forum, led by their National Coordinator, Hajiya Binta Kuraye, after a mini rally urged President Muhammadu Buhari and northern leaders to end the killings.

They also described the growing numbers of Internally Displaced Persons in the northeast as worrisome.
