Governors of the Northern States of Nigeria have converged on Kaduna for an emergency meeting of the Northern Governors’ Forum.
Daily Trust reports that the Governors of 15 northern states walked into the Council Chamber at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna at 1:55pm and after the national anthem, journalists were asked to leave for the Governors to have a closed door meeting.
Some of the state governors, who arrived Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, include: Plateau state Governor and the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Simon Bako Lalong; Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; Governor of Yobe State; Mai Mala Buni; Governor of Gombe State, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya; Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello; Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu and Governor of Nasarawa State, Eng. Abdullahi Sule.
Others include; Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum; Governor of Zamfara state, Mohammed Bello Matawalle as well as the deputy governors of Kogi, Kano, Katsina and Kaduna states.
