North Central PDP plot take over of zone, Atiku’s victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths from the North Central zone said they are already putting in place measures to wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the zone during the 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the Party’s Zonal Youth Summit in Abuja, National Youth Leader Muhammed Kakade Suleiman said with what is happening across the country, the PDP is ready to retake the states they had been controlling before the incursion of the APC.

He also called on the youths from the zone and the country to work for the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar as he is the candidate to checkmate the downward slope in the country.

Suleiman also said Atiku has promised to give the youths forty percent appointment in his administration if he wins the 2023 elections.

He warned against ethnic politics, adding that “if we continue like this as a country, there will come a time where each and every ethnic group will present their own presidential candidate.

“I have a passion for good governance. And an I believe it is only PDP that can deliver good governance as the country is today.

“In almost all elections we always contribute sixty to seventy percent of votes in this country. We have discussed a lot with our presidential candidate and he promised to give us forty percent of his appointment. So anybody who is ready to contribute should go back to his ward. Even to the polling unit.”

North Central Zonal PDP Youth Leader, Hon Ismaila Aruwa, said the summit was to bring everybody together and see how the critical stakeholders in North Central can interface with other stakeholders towards the success of the party next year.

“We want to tell Nigerians the importance of North Central. If you could recall, in 1998, 1999 and 2015, we were having governors in north central we want to go back to that era.”

He therefore called on the youths to take their position serious and work for the emergence of Atiku Abubakar in 2023, adding that he is the candidate with the capacity to turn things around for the people.
