Nomination of gov’ship candidate will end Edo APC crisis — Ize-Iyamu

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has said the crisis rocking the party will end with the nomination of governorship candidate for this year’s election in the state.

Daily Trust reports that the feud between the state governor, Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole, had torn the party apart in the state.

Ize-Iyamu who made the assertion yesterday in Benin while speaking with journalists, said, “The expiration date for this crisis is when the nomination for the governorship ticket is done and a candidate emerges. The party will not postpone the primary because there is a quarrel in the party. By the time the nomination form is out, whoever stayed away because of crisis will loss since it is only one name that will go to INEC.”

Ize-Iyamu, who was the party’s governorship candidate in the 2016 governorship poll in the state, joined APC last year.
