Over the years, the Nollywood industry saw a fair share of its actors and actresses quit their profession to venture into pastoral administration. In this weekend magazine feature, Daily trust Saturday highlights the few Nollywood stars turned pastors.

Zack Orji is a veteran and famous actor from Nollywood. He has spent more than 20 years working in the Nigerian film industry. He was also well-known for portraying pastors or reverend fathers. The actor has not looked back in his pursuit of serving God, since Bishop Lawrence Osagie in Power Line Bible Church ordaining him as a priest in 2012. The actor has been visiting churches and sharing the good news of salvation.

Patience Ozokwor

Patience Ozokwor, often known as Mama G, is a veteran Nollywood actress best known for her roles as a cruel stepmother, wicked mother-in-law, and evil character in a number of Nollywood films. She has worked in Nollywood for more than 20 years. At churches and on social media since 2016, Patience Ozokwor has been evangelising the public. She spoke about her life and her personal encounter with Jesus Christ while ministering to a congregation at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Alaba, Lagos State, Nigeria, last year.

Elizabeth Benson, often known as Liz Benson, is a seasoned Nollywood actress whom we have all grown up watching on television. She began her acting career in 1993 on the set of Fortunes, a popular television soap opera, and has since gone on to become one of the most well-known actresses of all time. After she received her evangelist ordination at the Rainbow Christian Assembly Church in Warri, Delta State in the southern region of Nigeria, she gave up acting. She is currently the pastor of the church alongside her husband, Bishop Great Emeya, who she married in 2009.

Pat Attah is a well-known Nollywood actor best known for his love roles. He plays the guitar and is a musician in addition to acting. In his day, Pat Attah was considered one of the most attractive actors. According to reports, the actor is based in Hamburg, Germany. While he is currently an evangelist, he does not preach in churches like some other evangelists. Instead, he uses social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to broadcast his sermon to a global audience.
