Ace Nollywood star Stella Damasus has revealed that her mother is dead. The actress who celebrated the 11th anniversary of her father’s death in January 2021, did not reveal the cause of her mother’s death.

The 43-year-old announced the death of her mother via an Instagram post on Monday morning. Sharing a picture of her mother she took to the caption section to write, “This is not goodbye, it’s TILL WE MEET AGAIN. Love you forever mummy.”

Shortly after the announcement, her colleagues in the entertainment industry have thronged to her page to console the grieving actress. 

For instance, her colleague Andrea Chika Chukwu wrote, “Ooh dear God. I am so sorry sweetie sending you hugs and praying with you. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Star actress Shaffy Bello simply wrote, “My condolences darling.”

While actress Halima Abubakar wrote, “Am so sorry sis.”

The actress was born on April 24, 1978. Asides from acting, she is also a singer. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009. 

She won the Award for Best Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2007. In 2012, she won the award for Best Actress for the movie Two Brides and a Baby at the Golden Icons Academy Awards in Houston, Texas.
