Nollywood actor, Sir David Osagie, is dead. It was gathered that the actor died hours after he was on a movie set at 52.

His death was announced by a Nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezeh via her Instagram account. The thespian revealed that the deceased was not sick but slept and didn’t wake up the next day.

She wrote, “Good morning fam, I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David. He wasn’t sick, it just happened. How do we explain this, another loss in Nollywood. Oh Lord have mercy. Rest in peace, Sir Dave. I Mourn again oh I mourn ooh. This life shall, it’s all but once. Nothing dey to fight or kill body for. Chai.”(sic)

Expressing shock over the death of the iconic actor, Ibiwari Etuk, an actress, further stated that Osagie was on a film set on Tuesday. 

Etuk commented, “This can’t be explained o. He filmed yesterday o went back to rest hoping to resume shoot today but never woke up … Another king role interpreter is gone …. What is this o God.”

Born Osagie Ogbeosamudia David, the late actor was also a scriptwriter, producer and professional talent developer. Moreso, he was famed for playing the role of a king in most movies or as an elder kingsman.
