Eng Ndanusa who made this known while interacting with sports writers at the Commission Secretariat, National Stadium, Lagos on Thursday noted that the meeting held with all the old and newly elected presidents of the sports federations outlined for the Olympics was a huge success.
The minister who also is the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), president as well as the 3rd Vice President of NOC said efforts would be made to make the country perform very well at the 2012 London Olympics Games.
Similarly, he remarked that with the assurances received from the federation presidents who were at the meeting chaired by the President of NOC, Eng Habu Gumel, there is indication that something great and progressive would be achieved in restoring the dignity of sports in Nigeria.
“As far as the Olympics Games is concerned, Nigeria will do well. I have received greater support from all the Olympics Games sports presidents. This meeting is all about how to renew energy, renew ego, and aim for high points of sports development as well as re-engineering sports to an enviable heights. It is a successful event coming together under one umbrella of NOC”he said.
