The country director of Ipas, an international non-governmental organisation (NGO), Barrister Hauwa Shekarau has said that the organisation will continue to ensure that no woman dies during childbirth. She made remarks when she received executives of the Initiative for Women’s Accelerated Development in Africa (INWOAD), who were on an advocacy visit to the organisation.
Mrs. Shekarau reiterated that Ipas will continue to provide Nigerian women access to high quality reproductive healthcare through basic health information and capacity building among other services.
INWOAD President, Ms. Evelyn Onyilo commended Ipas for being in the forefront of promoting maternal and child health in Nigeria in addition to providing health education.
